The Strawberry Alarm Clock were a little too syrupy for my taste. The group had a top 5 hit in 1967 with "Incense and Peppermints"
One of the first albums with the word Psychedelic in it was produced by The Blues Magoos titled Psychedelic Lollipop(1966). "(We Ain't Got) Nothin' Yet" was a for 5 single off that album in 1967.
A fake band for a kinda bad movie. A top 30 hit in '68
In the film anyone over 30 was put in to a concentration camp.
Status Quo had a huge hit with this Psychedelic tune, "Pictures of Matchstick Men", in 1968. They went on to become a very successful Glam band in the Seventies.
