Bob Seger decided he needed a new direction. He dropped his band and wrote and recorded a solo album. In 1971 he released "Brand New Morning". According to Pete Cavanaugh's book "Local DJ" MR. Seger played solo only once. Crowd reaction was so negative he immediately went back to playing with a band. The record is long out of print and MR. Seger barely acknowledges it's existence to this day.
Vertical asked me to join his blog as a guest expert on "Nuggets" era music... Psychedelic, Garage and Fuzz. Are there others more qualified? You bet, but they weren't asked. He's also letting me write about anything I want… We'll see.
