1979, attended a concert performed by Joe Jackson on his first tour of America. The concert took place at the Masonic auditorium in Detroit and I was in the company of representatives of MR. Jackson's record label. After the show we were ushered back stage to meet MR. Jackson. He was the whitest man I've ever seen. Leaning against a table with his arms crossed and his legs crossed at the ankles his attitude was jaunty. One of his label reps volunteered that his new album was selling well. He threw his head back, laughed. and said "well if you can't sell them give them away"
2002, accompanied by friends I attended a Joe Jackson concert at The State theatre in Detroit. I've attended many concerts over the course of my life, once trying to count I stopped at 150, and this one was special. It was a magical evening and the BEST show I've attended before or since.
