While toiling in college radio the biggest thrill we had was when the record companies would send us a box of new records. One week in 1976 a box arrived from Sire Records containing a record by a new band called the Ramones. When the second album, "Leave Home" was released I was all in. They wrote about burger joints, cheap horror movies and cheap thrills. All to a unrelenting energized sound track.

Vertical asked me to join his blog as a guest expert on "Nuggets" era music... Psychedelic, Garage and Fuzz. Are there others more qualified? You bet, but they weren't asked. He's also letting me write about anything I want… We'll see.
